Job Description

COMPLIANCE MANAGER required in Huntingdon area


The role of Compliance Manager is to ensure that the Company appropriately manages its various funding streams, and is at all times compliant with its Assurance Framework. This is a new and important role that will help to ensure the smooth running of the Company, and the effective delivery of the funding it secures to enable the growth of the local economy.




  • Work with the Executive Management Team to ensure compliance with the Company’s Assurance Framework across all of its activities
  • Ensure adherence to key milestones and timings for documents and reports set out in the Company’s Assurance Framework and other key funding agreements
  • Attend Board Meetings, and Board Sub Committees, and offer advice to ensure any

decisions made are fully compliant with the Company’s Assurance Framework and other relevant documents

  • Develop and maintain company Board, Sub Committee and other working group Terms of Reference and ensure they are complied with
  • Provide appropriate updates for the Company website to ensure information is kept up to date and relevant
  • Support the Executive Director: Finance & Operations to provide a quality financial, legal and procurement management service across multiple funding streams including BEIS and any others that may emerge
  • Work with project leads to ensure all project audits are carried out in a timely and appropriate manner, including carrying out inhouse reviews to ensure full compliance with specific funding terms and conditions
  • Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders including local authorities, businesses, Government departments and other Company’s on compliance related matters
  • Lead and support the Company team to ensure funding decisions are compliant at all times
  • Update the Company’s CRM system and create reports as required
  • Act as a key contact for the Company’s Accountable Officer, including providing regular updates in person and via email






  • Advanced knowledge of administration and governance procedures and systems
  • Knowledge and experience in project management, stakeholder manager, performance management and report writing
  • Experience of using CRM systems and/or databases
  • Excellent working knowledge of ICT systems, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload and support others to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who can work under pressure and deliver results with the ability to take ownership of tasks
  • Able to communicate confidently and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Able to create and maintain strong working relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Calmness under pressure and the ability to run multiple projects to tight deadlines
  • Able to provide guidance and support to colleagues about potentially complex administrative processes
  • Experience of designing administrative systems and processes
  • Significant experience of managing Government funded programmes, and/ or compliance with QMS and/or ISO programmes in the private sector
  • Experience of working in a complex project environment
  • Experience of providing administrative support to a diverse team of managers and staff
  • Understanding of, and acceptance and commitment to, the principles underlying diversity and equality of opportunity
  • Track record of practising effective customer care



  • Professional background and qualification in relevant field
  • Familiarity with GCGP area
  • Knowledge of regulations relating to publicly projects, monitoring and claims
  • Ability to maintain financial records and interpret budgetary reports
  • Experience of establishing personal credibility when dealing with senior managers, partners and/or Board Members


Full time, permanent role.

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience
